Olivia and Alternative Proteins in Israel.

Our very own Olivia Fox Cabane, Chair of The International Alliance for Alternative Protein and key organiser of the Alternative Protein Show, was in Israel recently at Start-Up Nation Central.

While she was there Olivia was included in Israel’s Channel 2 video segment on alternative proteins. It showcased both plant and cell based alternatives, including the Beyond Meat product and local hero Aleph Farms. As Olivia says “…within the next 5 to 10 years we’ll have passed the point where we’ll be able to produce plant based and cell based meat that tastes better and is cheaper…” than conventional meat!

Also included in the video was Or Benjamin, head of GFI in Israel, helping to ensure Israel’s at the cutting edge of alternative protein technology.
